I was visiting the area and craving pho. They hit the spot. If reminds me of my favorite restaurant back home. Services was awesome, treated us like we were part of the family

If you're looking for traditional, quick, easy, and affordable this is the spot. Was hesitant walking through the door but they made me feel at home. The service was very friendly! And the food was traditional and delicious. The beef pho and fresh spring rolls were out of this world. I knew the food was going to be delicious as soon as I sat down due to the simple ambiance inside. Definitely will come back and recommend!!

As of November 2024, this is my go to pho restaurant. The broth was beefy and they gave you plenty of bean sprouts and beef to garnish the bowl. Service is typical Vietnamese, rushed. They came over twice in the span of 5 mins expecting you to have your order ready and food came 5 mins after you ordered. The inside was clean and cozy and there was easy parking either on the street or in the small lot adjacent to the restaurant.

I can't figure out why I've never written a review for Kravin Pho before - it's one of the best Pho shops in Hartford! I always get the P6, a sumptuous soup with rare beef and brisket - and I always ask for extra limes, because that's just how I eat my pho. But truthfully, Kravin Pho's broth is so mouth-wateringly good on its own, drowning it in lime or adding any other flavor seems unnecessary. It's clear that the owner pours a lot of effort and time into the soup, making it fantastic each time. Whether it's to warm up on a cold winter day or even on a hot summer one when you're 'kravin' Pho, drop by Kravin Pho for a bowl of soup you won't forget!

Delicious piping hot pho. Large servings. Very authentic Vietnamese food. Side note- it's not in a good neighborhood but not docking them for that.

If you're on the hunt for authentic Vietnamese food, I highly recommend checking out this hidden gem I stumbled upon. It's a family-owned restaurant, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and they go above and beyond to make sure you have a great dining experience. The menu is extensive and offers a wide variety of dishes to choose from. However, the two dishes that always stand out to me are the pork chops meal and the pho. The pork chops are marinated to perfection and are served with a side of rice and a delicious sauce. The pho, on the other hand, is a traditional Vietnamese soup made with beef or chicken broth and topped with rice noodles, meat, herbs, and vegetables. The broth is rich and flavorful, and you can really taste the time and attention they put into making it. Overall, this is a must-visit spot for anyone who loves Vietnamese cuisine. The food is authentic, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. You won't be disappointed!

I had been trying all different Vietnamese restaurants from ct to Florida, this is the best! (Better than those in Philly) The broth is excellent, we spoke to the owner she's super sweet and kind. They kept the broth cooking for 24 hrs .... Rich and aromatic Pho is chewy even wheb you eat to the last bite, they don't break into pieces, best noodles i ever tried. Kravin Special we ordered has oxtails, very tender. The bowl is full of meat!! Everything taste great The owner let us try the spicy soup ... Omg i have to come back in 2 days to eat the spicy noodles. We tried the fish cake she made, we ended up buying whole pieces $23 to-go. The fish cake taste so good, chewy. Also vietnamese coffee don't get one because it won't be enough. We have 2 more to-go. I beg you to try it Restaurant is super clean because she wipe everything and also kept all soup bowl in closed area (no bugs can reach it during the night) ... There's restrooms for men / women seperately which is also very clean. I mean sometimes u go to a restaurant with nice food but dirty environment, this restaurant here has the best pho and CLEAN! I really appreciate it and i think the owner really use her heart to run her restaurant. Just happy we can communicate in Cantonese We kept talking about this and miss our exit home enjoy guys

Not the best pho I have ever had, but probably one of the better pho places I have had. A great place to get a bowl of soup As a running theme of the past week or so, been freezing my booty off in the cold morning days and seeking respite after our events finish. We went to find soup, and found a local pho place that was reviewed pretty favorably. So I came in to give it a go. The server was very friendly, and when we initially came in there wasn't many people eating here. Given the neighborhood, there was a little concern that we might've picked a not-so-good place. But we stick it out and order some beef rolls and a pho to split between us. Service is prompt, with the rolls coming out quickly and the pho taking a little longer. The beef rolls were pretty tasty! they were coated in a light soy sauce and grilled to perfection. The veggies in the middle were crunchy but fully cooked, offering just a little bit of filler but also as a sauce vessel The pho was also really good! the meat was very tender and the portion was fairly large. between the two of us, we were able to easily make a meal by sharing the app and the pho. The weak point was the broth. It really needed a lot of extra doctoring to make it good. I know with pho that they do leave it up to the user to tailor it to their own tastes, but I do expect the base to be a little more put together when you get it. After a good few dashes of seasoning sauce, some fish sauce, sriracha for spice, and some crushed red chili flake, I was able to get the sauce to a reasonable salt and spicy level. After which, it was good but not amazing. The amazing was the meat, which was cooked in the broth and was very tender and flavorful. if the broth tasted more like the meat, then it would've been a much better dish. but it didn't so it's a little flat. Once you add in your seasonings though, it's a very good pho!

When I talk about Vietnamese food in the greater Hartford area, I like to talk about what each place specializes in. This is how I narrow down where I go based on whatever I'm craving that day. For Kravin, there's quite a few specialities that they deserve praise for; my family really enjoys going here. For me, I love their Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup). When I'm feeling like I need a savory broth with a kick, I absolutely go straight to Kravin for it. The owner personally has her own recipe and is in the kitchen herself. When my cousins visit, she knows personally she likes the one with extra kick and I like a mild kick when we order Bun Bo Hue. If you're a regular, she'll take care of ya! Personally I've also seen Kravin also be great at pho in general. Some days I'm indecisive and I end up splitting pho and Bun Bo Hue with a friend so we can get both. I enjoy the consistency of the noodles in their pho as it's not too soft but just right. Can't forget an order of egg rolls for the table which we ended up ordering a few more on our last visit. My parents have a special affinity to their com tam suon (rice plate with pork chop) and always get it with extra fat (my dad does this it's his thing). The meats for the rice are seasoned so well that some days my dad gets an order of just the meat to go so he can have it at home ready to go. I'll literally stop by home and see he's got a plate of the meat from Kravin so he can have it with rice and other things at home. I guess that means something. Going to Kravin means you'll get authentic Vietnamese food beyond just pho and banh mi. In fact, their Facebook page will share the week's specials so you can try the extra special dishes that you truly may not find as authentic as elsewhere. Don't skip out on Kravin Pho! Once you try it, you'll be craving more.
